Outfielder Kasey Cooper has been named Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week for his performance during the Diamond Lions’ win against Lubbock Christian on Friday.

Cooper, a junior from Pea Ridge, Ark., went 3 for 3 with one triple and two RBI to lead the Diamond Lions to the 8-4 win against the Chaps in the opening game of what was a scheduled three-game series. The finale two games of the series were cancelled because of snow and ice.

Cooper compiled a 1.667 slugging percentage.
