UAFS sophomore libero Emily Tripp has been named Heartland Conference Libero of the Week for her performance this past week in the Lady Lions’ sweeps of St. Mary’s and Texas A&M International.

It’s the fourth time this season that Tripp has earned the honor.

Tripp, who is from Shawnee, Kan., averaged 8.5 digs per set during the Lady Lions’ wins. She had 29 of her 51 digs against St. Mary’s.

UAFS (14-3, 8-0) remained alone atop the conference standings following the wins, and the Lady Lions have a one-match lead over Lubbock Christian and a two-match lead over St. Edward’s.
