Junior Will Phillips led the UAFS men’s cross country team Saturday during the Heartland Conference Championship Meet at Max Mandel Municipal Golf Course in Laredo, Texas.

It was the first time this fall for Phillips to lead the Lions, who finished eighth in the meet. The junior finished 34th in the 77-runner field, covering the 8k course in a time of 27:00.4.
