Eckes was named Heartland Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance during last week's California Baptist Lancer Joust in Jurupa Valley, Calif.

The Fort Smith native shot a 5-over 215 (71-71-73) and finished 10th in the 20-team event. Eckes helped lead the Lions to a fifth-place tie in a field that featured two of the nation's Top 25 programs.
