Vanderpool batted .421 during the Diamond Lions' five-game slate last week. He had eight hits, including one double and two home runs.

He hit the home runs in consecutive at-bats of a 17-10 win by the Diamond Lions  over Southeastern Oklahoma State. He had at least one hit in each game against No. 20 St. Edward's.
