2022-23: Third Team All-LSC...led league in scoring at 19.7 points per game...tied for first in made threes per game at 2.5...scored second most points in the UAFS Division II era with 552 points...made second most free throws in a season with 144...scored in double figures 24 times and had 12 20-point games and five 30-point games...scored a career-high 39 points in a win over Ouachita Baptist...LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2021-22: Transferred to New Mexico Junior College before missing the season due to injury and returning to UAFS.
2020-21: Played in 14 games...led team and was third in LSC in scoring at 20.8 points per game...fourth in the league in 3PT% at 40.6 percent...10th in FG% (48.3) and led league and set single season program record in FT% (90.7)...scored a season high 38 points in win at Cameron...two 30-point games...nine games with 20 or more points, including the final six games of the season...Second Team All-LSC...LSC All-Freshman team.
HIGH SCHOOL:Â Payton Brown (6'3/185 lbs) chose the Lions over many Division 1 suitors. He comes to Fort Smith from Waldron, AR where he had one of the most decorated high school careers in Arkansas history. He finished his career scoring 2,775 total points, giving him a career average of 31.2 points per game along with 6.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists. His career high of 60 points beat the previous Waldron record held by his father (Jason Brown). The three time All-State guard also led the entire state of Arkansas in scoring all three years of his prep career, and plans on majoring in Business at UAFS.
