Jake Brooks begins his first years as the Men's Basketball Assistant Coach.
Growing up in Clarkesville, GA, Brooks graduated from Habersham Central High School in 2011. Subsequently he attended Emmanuel College for the first two years where he played golf while he graduated from Truett McConnell University in 2015. Brooks completed his M.B.A. at Piedmont College in 2017.
Brooks has previously served for four years as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach for the Piedmont Lions. During this time, he helped guide the Lions' basketball program to two of the highest win totals since the 2009-2010 season. He has significant experience in managing practices, running drills and preparing scouting reports as well as assisting with recruiting efforts. Brooks also managed the team's social media presence and kept up with student-athletes' success on and off the court. He helped develop numerous successful young athletes and community members.
Prior to his tenure at Piedmont College, Brooks served as a students assistant at Truett McConnell University for the 2014-15 season. He took part in the basketball program's monumental turnaround, going from 4-25 to 17-12 in the following season.
Currently residing in Fort Smith, AR, Brooks is married to Courtney Brooks.
