KEARNEY, Neb. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Volleyball was unable to keep pace with No. 6 Nebraska-Kearney Wednesday as the Lions fell to the Lopers, 18-25, 13-25, 17-25 in MIAA action.
The Lopers hit .315 for the match, including .382 in set one and .344 in set three while the Lions hit .136. UAFS had early leads in each of the first two set, but the Lopers extended their streak to winning 48 sets in a row.
Lydia Pitts had a team-high nine kills for the Lions while Aspen Olson had five with a .385 attack percentage. Mayli Whetter had 18 assists while both Pitts and Abbey Jackson had eight digs apiece.
UAFS is back in action Friday at 6 p.m. at Fort Hays State.
