FORT SMITH, Ark. – Summer basketball camps are quickly approaching with the UAFS men's basketball program offering five youth camps and two elite camps this summer.
Youth camps are for boys and girls entering grades K-8 and cost $65 per camp which includes a camp T-shirt. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon each session and will involve the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, and shooting. Competition games from 1v1, 3v3, and 5v5 will be played. Camp prizes will go out to winners of different fun activities.
Dates of the youth camps are as follows:
· June 8-10
· June 15-17
· July 6-8
· July 13-15
· July 20-22
The elite camps will be August 1 and August 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and cost $55 for grades 9-12 with a T-shirt included. Camp will be designed similar to a normal UAFS men's basketball practice. Ball handling, offensive and defensive drills, and 5v5 games will be played.
Camps will be run by the UAFS coaching staff and current players.
