SHAWNEE, Okla. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Baseball was shut out Tuesday, as the Lions continued nonconference action with a 10-0 defeat at Oklahoma Baptist.
The Bison scored nine of their 10 runs with two outs, including three in the third and four in the sixth.
UAFS had runners on second and third with one out in the top of the third but grounded out and fouled out to end the inning. The Lions also had the bases loaded in the fourth but were unable to push across a run.
Kenneth Flores got his first career start on the mound, allowing three runs on three hits over 2.2 frames. Outfielder Connor Earleywine had two of the four hits for the Lions on the afternoon.
UAFS is next at William Jewell for a three-game series starting Friday at 3 p.m.
