FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Basketball will look to build off its first MIAA win as the Lions take to the road this week at Rogers State and Central Oklahoma.
The Lions will square off with the Hillcats at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday before taking on the Bronchos at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both games will be streamed on the MIAA Network with live stats available at uafortsmithlions.com.
NOTES:
LAST WEEK: UAFS split its first two games of 2026, falling to Pittsburg State before defeating Missouri Southern.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Forward Marie Rose Priscilla Wemba recorded a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Missouri Southern.
FROM THE LINE: UAFS was 15-for-16 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter against MSSU and finished 19-for-20 for the game.
LEAGUE LEADER: Forward Layne Kirkendoll ranks ninth in the MIAA with 1.0 blocks per game. Her 49 career blocks rank 10th in the program's NCAA II history.
SCOUTING RSU: The Hillcats are 5-8, 2-2 MIAA after winning their last two games. Rogers State scores just 61.7 points per game, led by guard Ataya Casaus at 9.2 points per game.
SCOUTING UCO: The Bronchos have won five games in a row and are 6-7, 1-3 MIAA under first-year head coach Hannah Moeller. UCO tops the MIAA in opponent field goal percentage at 34.5 percent and is second in rebounding. Guard Nykaiya Dillard leads UCO with 12.5 points per game off the bench.
THE SERIES: UAFS is 12-3 all-time versus Rogers State and 4-10 against Central Oklahoma.
