JOPLIN, Mo. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Women's Basketball was held to a season-low 36 points as the Lions fell to Missouri Southern, 59-36, Thursday in MIAA action.
The UAFS defense held Missouri Southern to just 23 points on 29.0 percent shooting in the first half, but the Lions mustered only 14 points themselves.
UAFS finished at just 28.3 percent shooting overall and 3-for-30 from three.
Guard Keytonna Ross led the Lions with 12 points while forward Marie Rose Priscilla Wemba tallied 10 points and six boards on 5-of-5 shooting.
The Lions are next in action Saturday at Pittsburg State at 1:30 p.m.
