FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Tennis opened MIAA/GAC play with a tightly contested match against Ouachita Baptist Saturday, with the Tigers ultimately defeating the Lions, 5-2.

Juan Rosello and Anis Ramchane won 6-4 at No. 2 doubles, but the Tigers came away with the doubles point.

The top two flights in singles went down to the wire, with Bribesca dropping a heartbreaker, 6-7, 7-5, 6-7 at No. 1. At No. 2, Rosello came out on top, 6-7, 7-5, 6-2.

Rodrigo Hoppe earned the second point for the Lions at No. 5 singles, winning 6-2, 6-2.

Next up for the Lions is a neutral site matchup against Christian Brothers February 18 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
