FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Men's Tennis opened its 2025 season with a doubleheader against NCAA I Lamar Saturday, with both matches being extremely competitive.

Lamar took match one, 5-2, before taking the second match, as well, 4-3.

In match one, Anis Ramchane and Juan Rosello earned a 6-3 win at number two doubles but the Cardinals took the doubles point.

Eduardo Bribiesca claimed a win at the top singles spot, 6-4, 6-4, while Rosello went 2-0 for the match with a 1-6, 6-4, 10-4 win at flight three.

In match two, the Lions claimed three singles wins, with Bribiesca earning another win at number one, 6-4, 6-2, and Rosello winning, 6-4, 6-3 at number three. Rodrigo Hoppe claimed his first collegiate win by leading 6-2, 6-7, 3-0 before winning by default.

UAFS returns to action February 8 versus Ouachita Baptist at noon at The Hangout Fort Smith.
