TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Women's Basketball shot just 27.8 percent as the Lions dropped their MIAA opener Tuesday, 71-49, at Northeastern State.
Northeastern started the game on a 9-3 run as the Lions were unable to catch up to the RiverHawks. UAFS had a 14-9 edge in second chance points for the game.
Guard Jah'Mareah Linville led the Lions with 14 points and eight rebounds while guard Caiyiah Smith added 13 points.
The Lions continue MIAA play Saturday at Newman at 1:30 p.m.
