Welcome to the MIAA

UAFS is transitioning into the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association this fall. Over the coming weeks, we are highlighting our new conference rivals so you know what the Lions are up against! This is your crash course to everything MIAA!

Central Missouri Mules & Jennies

About the university (Short Bio):

The University of Central Missouri was a founding member of the MIAA back in 1912 and has upheld a history of excellence within the conference for over a century. The Mules and Jennies are arguably one of the most successful Division II programs with national titles in men's and women's basketball as well as being the first Division II university to win a national title in men's and women's basketball on the same day and same court back in 1984. The Jennies recently won a second title in 2018.

Many Arkansans may recognize the name of former UCM baseball coach Dave Van Horn, who brought a Division II national championship to Warrensburg in 1994. The Mules would go on to win another title in baseball in 2003.

The Lions look forward to competing with such a historic set of programs and are excited for more regular match ups!
