FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Tennis claimed a 4-3 win over Newman Monday, the first of four matches on deck for the Lions this week.

The Lions swept the three doubles matches, winning each match by a score of 6-4 to earn the doubles point.

In singles play, Petra Csizmadia and Arianna De Bernardo made quick work of their matches at the top two flights. Csizmadia won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 and De Bernardo won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2.

With the match tied at 3-3, Taylor Conway sealed the win for the Lions at No. 5 with a 6-3, 7-5 victory.

Next up for the Lions is a trip to Southeastern Oklahoma State University for a 2 p.m. match on Tuesday.
