Women's Basketball returns home to face St. Edward's, St. Mary's

FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Basketball is set to host St. Edward's and St. Mary's this week at Gayle Kaundart Arena at the Stubblefield Center as part of Homecoming Week.

The Lions will take on the Hilltoppers at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and will wrap up the weekend against the Rattlers at 1 p.m. Saturday. Both games will be streamed on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network and broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5. Live stats will be available at uafortsmithlions.com.

NOTES:

LAST WEEK: UAFS went on the road to face Texas A&M International and Texas A&M-Kingsville but came up short in both contests.

AROUND THE LEAGUE: UAFS is fourth in the LSC in three-point percentage and blocked shots. The Lions are third in made threes per game at 7.4.

40: UAFS has shot better than 40 percent seven times this season, and is 5-2 in those games.

RECORD WATCH: Guard Hannah Boyett is the D2 era leading scorer with 894 career points and is two threes shy of 200. Guard Riley Hayes is third with 128 made threes.

SCOUTING SEU: The Hilltoppers are 7-15, 4-12 LSC but just 1-8 away from home. SEU ranks in the top five in the LSC in scoring and field goal percentage, led by guard Janiah Perkins and forward Bailey Featherstone at 14.4 and 12.2 points, respectively.

SCOUTING STMU: The Rattlers are 4-18, 4-12 LSC, and also have just one road win. St. Mary's is last in the LSC in scoring at 57.7 points per game and 15th in field goal percentage. Forward Taylor Haggan paces St. Mary's with 13.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

THE SERIES: UAFS leads both series, 16-14 against St. Edward's and 14-13 against St. Mary's.
