KINGSVILLE, Texas - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Basketball was held to a season-low in points Saturday as the Lions fell on the road at Texas A&M-Kingsville, 78-43.
The Lions opened the game on a 7-1 run and led 17-13 at the end of the first quarter, but shot less than 20 percent from the floor in the second and fourth quarters as the Javelinas pulled away. UAFS committed 23 turnovers, as well, leading to 35 fast break points for Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Forward Kayla Brundidge led the Lions with a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, while guard Maiya Reed added nine points. Forward Maja Cykowska contributed seven points.
The Lions return home Thursday against St. Edward's at 5:30 p.m.
