FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Basketball takes to the road for the final time in the regular season as the Lions are set to visit St. Edward's and St. Mary's this weekend.
The Lions visit St. Edward's at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and play their final road game of the year at St. Mary's at 1 p.m. Saturday. Both games will be streamed on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network with live stats available at uafslions.com.
NOTES:
LAST WEEK: The Lions bounced back from a defeat against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday to take down Texas A&M International on Monday.
RECORD BREAKER: Guard Hannah Boyett made six threes in Monday's win against TAMIU and now holds the record for most career made threes with 153.
MAKE IT RAIN: UAFS made 13 threes Monday, the third time making at least 13 threes in a game this season and the fourth time the Lions have eclipsed 10 made threes. UAFS is third in the LSC in three-point percentage at 33.4 percent.
AROUND THE LEAGUE: Guard Aaliyah Prince ranks 10th in scoring at 13.4 points per game while Boyett and guard Riley Hayes are tied for third in made threes per game at 2.3. Forward Kayla Brundidge is sixth with 1.3 blocks per game.
CAREER HIGH: Brundidge pulled down 13 rebounds Monday, marking a new career high. Eight of her rebounds were on the offensive end.
THE SERIES: UAFS leads both series, leading St. Edward's, 16-12, and St. Mary's, 13-12.
SCOUTING SEU: The Hilltoppers have lost four of five games and are 11-13, 7-9 LSC. Forward Morgan Gary leads three Hilltoppers averaging double figures with 11.4 points per game. Gary also leads the team with 7.1 rebounds per contest.
SCOUTING STMU: The Rattlers split their games last weekend after dropping their previous five contests and are 7-15, 3-13 LSC. Forward Gabby Elliott paces St. Mary's with 12.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
THE FIRST TIME: Both St. Edward's and St. Mary's left the Stubblefield Center with victories back in January, so the Lions will be looking to get even this time around.
