FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Basketball will close out the regular season Thursday by hosting Oklahoma Christian at Gayle Kaundart Arena at the Stubblefield Center.
Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. with a senior day presentation to take place prior to the game at 5:15 p.m.
The game will be streamed on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network and broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 103.5 with live stats available at uafslions.com.
NOTES:
LAST WEEK: The Lions kept the good times rolling by picking up a pair of wins over Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico.
STREAKING: UAFS is currently on a three-game win streak, its longest of the season. UAFS is allowing just 52.7 points per game during that stretch.
SENIOR DAY: The five seniors UAFS will be honoring prior to the game include Aaliyah Prince, Truth Taylor, Rodrea Echols, Laurissa Campbell and Hannah Boyett.
AROUND THE LEAGUE: Guard Aaliyah Prince is seventh in the LSC in averaging 14.4 points per game. Guard Hannah Boyett is second in the LSC in three-point percentage at 37.1 percent and fourth in made threes at 2.3 per game. Guard Riley Hayes is second in made threes at 2.4 per contest. Forward Kayla Brundidge ranks sixth in blocks per game at 1.2.
SCOUTING OC: The Eagles have matched the Lions in winning four of their last five games and are 7-18, 7-14 LSC. Forward Brooklin Bain leads the Eagles with 14.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
THE SERIES: UAFS is 15-7 against Oklahoma Christian after the Eagles took the first game from the Lions this season.
BLOCK PARTY: The Lions had a season-high nine blocks in the first meeting against OC, including three by Brundidge.
