FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Basketball will visit Lone Star Conference preseason favorite Angelo State this week as the Lions continue conference play.

UAFS will take on the Rambelles at 5:30 p.m. Thursday before traveling to UT Permian Basin for a 1 p.m. tipoff Saturday. Both games will be streamed on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network with live stats available at uafortsmithlions.com.

NOTES:

LAST WEEK: UAFS is coming off a pair of tough home losses to West Texas A&M & Lubbock Christian on the opening weekend of conference play.

GIMME THAT: Both UAFS and UT Permian Basin rank in the top five of the LSC in steals. The Lions average 10.5 steals per game.

HEATING UP: Guard Baylee Fincher has scored in double figures in each of the last four games. She tallied 15 points in each game last weekend.

SCOUTING ASU: The Rambelles are 6-3, 2-0 LSC after defeating Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International on the road last week. ASU leads the league in blocks with 4.78 per game and is second with 17.3 assists per contest. Guard Sawyer Lloyd paces ASU with 15.7 points per game and 6.1 rebounds, while forward Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant tallies 15.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Center Keniah Williams leads the LSC with 2.4 blocks per game.

SCOUTING UTPB: The Falcons are 5-2, 1-1 LSC and have only played one home game prior to this weekend. Guard Kamryn Lemon leads UTPB with 14.0 points per game while forward Alexus Quaadman averages a double double of 13.3 points and 10.7 rebounds to lead the LSC. UTPB is second in the league at 77.7 points per game.
