FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Tennis went toe-to-toe with Cameron Thursday in its regular season finale, but the Aggies came out on top with a 7-0 win.
Two matches went the distance and a third featured a tiebreaker.
Cameron won all three doubles matches, but Killian Darneaux and Anis Ramchane as well as Nicolas Retamales and Ethan Eddleman put up tough battles in 6-4 losses at numbers two and three, respectively.
At number one singles, Daniel Borrero won set one, 6-3, but dropped sets two and three, 3-6 and 4-6. Juan Rosello also went three sets at number three, winning 6-3 in the first set before being defeated 2-6 and 6-7.
Eddleman lost set one in a tiebreak, 6-7, at number five before a 3-6 loss in set two.
Next up for the Lions is the Lone Star Conference Tournament April 28-30 at the Arlington Tennis Center in Arlington, Texas.
