ARLINGTON – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Tennis saw its season come to a close Thursday after it was defeated 4-1 by St. Mary's in the quarterfinals of the Lone Star Conference Tournament at the Arlington Tennis Center.
Killian Darneaux and Anis Ramchane were up 3-2 at number three doubles, but the Rattlers took the matches at one and two for the doubles point before their match finished.
Juan Rosello earned the only point for the Lions at number four singles, earning a 6-4, 6-1 win.
At number five, Ethan Eddleman fought back from a 2-6 defeat in set one with a 7-5 set two win but set three was not finished with the match decided. Ramchane faced a similar situation, dropping set one, 3-6, but was ahead 6-5 in set two when the match was determined.
UAFS concludes the season with a 5-10 record.
