ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Tennis was unable to upset No. 21 Ouachita Baptist Saturday, as the Tigers swept the Lions, 7-0, at the Ward Tennis Center.
After sweeping all three doubles matches, the Tigers took five of the six singles matches from the Lions in straight sets.
At number three singles, Anis Ramchane went to a tiebreaker after splitting the first two sets, 2-6, 6-4, but dropped the decisive set, 8-10. Wian Van Dyk went toe-to-toe at number one, but lost both sets, 5-7, 5-7.
UAFS will have next weekend off before hosting Western New Mexico April 15 at the Fort Smith Athletic Club.
