FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Women's Tennis returned to Lone Star Conference action Saturday at the Fort Smith Athletic Club, but dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting UT Tyler.

The Lions were swept in doubles action but picked up two singles wins by Camila Romero and Isabella Serrano at numbers five and six, respectively.

Romero won 6-4, 6-2, while Serrano moved to 2-0 on the year with a 6-1, 0-6, 11-9 win. Jenny Zapien went three sets at number three before taking a 6-3, 2-6, 4-6 defeat.

UAFS continues conference play March 31 at St. Mary's.
