WICHITA FALLS, Texas – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Tennis dropped its Lone Star Conference opener Friday, 6-1, at Midwestern State at the MSU Tennis Center.

The Lions took two of three in doubles to take a 1-0 lead, but the Mustangs swept singles play for the victory.

Daniel Borrero and Juan Rosello teamed up for a 6-4 win at number two doubles while Anis Ramchane and Killian Darneaux won 6-2 at number three.

Rosello and Ramchane both went three sets in singles action but were unable to come up on top. Ramchane was defeated 1-6, 6-3, 5-7 at number three with Rosello dropping a 2-6, 7-5, 4-6 decision. Ethan Eddelman was competitive in a 6-7, 4-6 defeat at number six.

The Lions are back in action Saturday at Dallas Baptist at 11 a.m.
