Lions to close first half of season at OC Monday

FORT SMITH, Ark. - University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Women's Basketball will close out the first half of its season Monday by visiting Oklahoma Christian for an afternoon contest.

The last game before the holiday break, the Lions and Eagles will tip off at 2 p.m. at the Payne Athletics Center. The game will be streamed on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network with live stats available at uafslions.com.

NOTES:

LAST WEEK: The Lions went 1-1 at home, defeating Angelo State before falling to UT Permian Basin.

TOUGH SHOTS: UAFS held each of its opponents below 36.0 percent shooting last week. Oklahoma Christian is shooting just 31.1 percent on the year.

AROUND THE LEAGUE: Guard Aaliyah Prince is seventh in the LSC in scoring at 14.6 points per game. Guard Riley Hayes is third in the league in three-point field goal percentage (.435) and three-point field goals per game (2.7).

RECORD WATCH: Guard Hannah Boyett ranks third with 114 career made threes. Hayes ranks 10th with 53 made triples.

THE SERIES: UAFS is 15-6 all-time against Oklahoma Christian.

SCOUTING OC: The Eagles are the only winless team in the league at 0-8, 0-4 under first-year head coach Markeith Brown. Guard Brooklin Bain leads the Eagles by averaging 14.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
