LUBBOCK, Texas – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Volleyball suffered a 25-20, 25-9, 25-20 setback at Lubbock Christian Friday to open Lone Star Conference action.
Lubbock Christian (5-4, 1-0 LSC) hit .286 for the match while holding UAFS (5-4, 0-1 LSC) to just .029.
Libero Jazzlyn Wells led UAFS with 12 digs while outside hitter Reagan Macha added nine digs.
Offensively, middle blocker Hannah Holland totaled seven kills, with right-side hitter Faith Marabella tallying six kills. Courtney Crownover had a team-high nine assists, with both Chloe Price and Coryn Chaffin dishing out six assists.
UAFS continues its LSC opening weekend road trip Saturday at No. 2 Angelo State. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
