ODESSA, Texas – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Women's Tennis closed the regular season with back-to-back wins by defeating UT Permian Basin, 4-3, Saturday at the Bush Tennis Center.

UAFS nearly took the doubles point, as Bianca Koen and Milena Achlamov won at number two, 6-3. After UTPB won at number three, it came down to a close matchup at number one, where the Falcons eked out a 7-5 win over Joanna Potet and Petra Csizmadia for the point.

The Lady Lions dominated singles play, however, winning four of the six matches.

Koen and Potet made quick work at numbers one and two, respectively, with Koen winning 6-1, 6-0 and Potet winning 6-3, 6-1.

Csizmadia then won 6-3, 6-0 at number four, while Camila Romero posted a clean sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number five.

Achlamov went the distance at number six, but fell 7-5, 1-6, 5-10.

UAFS will next head to Waco, Texas, for the Lone Star Conference Tournament April 29-May 1 at the Waco Regional Tennis Center.
