SILVER CITY, N.M. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Men's Tennis picked up a 4-3 win over Western New Mexico Friday for its first Lone Star Conference win of the season.

After pairing up for a 6-4 win at number three doubles, Nicolas Retamales and Daniel Borrero carried the momentum to a pair of singles wins. Retamales won 6-3, 6-1 at number three while Borrero won 6-3, 6-4 at number two, respectively.

Also in doubles, Andrew Anderson and Ethan Eddleman won 6-4 at number two to give UAFS a 1-0 advantage.

Zach Delmonico then gave UAFS the win with a 6-2, 6-0 win at number four singles.

Eddleman went three sets at number four, but was defeated 6-4, 2-6, 5-10.

UAFS concludes the regular season Saturday at UT Permian Basin with a first serve of 10 a.m.
