FORT SMITH, Ark. – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Women's Basketball will close out the first semester with a pair of road games, visiting UT Tyler and Texas A&M – Commerce.
The Lady Lions will visit UT Tyler on Thursday before traveling to No. 3 A&M – Commerce next Monday. Tipoff for Thursday's contest against the Patriots is set for 5 p.m. with Monday's game an afternoon affair at 2 p.m.

LAST WEEK: UAFS narrowly missed knocking off Midwestern State at home, falling 66-64 last Friday at the Stubblefield Center.
CAREER HIGH FOR ELSTON: Guard Paige Elston scored a career-high 23 points in the loss to Midwestern State. Her previous high was 21 in 2019-20 against East Central.
CRASH THE GLASS: UAFS outrebounded Midwestern State, 51-30, and had more than 20 offensive rebounds for the second straight game. The Lady Lions are third in the LSC with 16.0 offensive rebounds per game.
CHARITY STRIPE: UAFS had its best game of the season at the free throw line against the Mustangs, converting a season-high 22 shots on 27 attempts.
RECORD WATCH: Forward Mar'Shalia Lollie ranks 9th with 339 career rebounds. Lollie is 7th with 171 offensive rebounds.
THE SERIES: UAFS is 2-0 against UT-Tyler since the Patriots became an NCAA II member in 2019-20. The Lady Lions are 1-2 against Texas A&M-Commerce.
SCOUTING UTT: The Patriots are 5-1 on the year after having won their last four games. Head Coach Rebecca Alvidrez is in her first season at UT Tyler, who is led by center Liah Davis, who averages 16.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
SCOUTING A&M-C: The Lions are the last remaining unbeaten in the Lone Star Conference at 9-0 and ranked No. 3 in the WBCA Coaches Poll. Guard Dyani Robinson leads the Lions with 15.3 points per game, while forward DesiRay Kernal averages 11.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest.
