FORT SMITH, Ark. – A lineup change gave University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Volleyball a spark Friday as the Lady Lions looked dominant in a 25-18, 25-17, 25-18 sweep of St. Mary's at Gayle Kaundart Arena at the Stubblefield Center.
UAFS (10-10, 5-6 LSC) hit over .300 in every set en route to hitting .369 for the match, just shy of the .385 it hit last week in a win at Eastern New Mexico. Four players had at least seven kills and hit above .400.

UAFS only briefly trailed at the beginning of set two, then responded to a 3-1 deficit with a 7-0 run led by a pair of kills by Wharton. The Lions started set one strong as well, with Wharton leading the way with three kills as UAFS raced out to an 8-2 advantage.
St. Mary's kept pace in the first half of set three, but UAFS broke it open with a 6-1 run to turn a one-point game into a 21-15 lead. Thompson had three kills in the run.
