CANYON, Texas – University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Volleyball saw it's three-match winning streak get snapped Saturday at the hands of West Texas A&M, falling 19-25, 21-25, 17-25 to the Lady Buffs on the road.
After having its best offensive output of the season, UAFS was held to just a .104 attack percentage for the match while WTAMU hit .300. The Lady Lions came into the match as one of the least blocked teams in the league, but the Lady Buffs doubled their block output, 10-5.
Middle blocker Hannah Holland led UAFS with eight kills and a .438 attack percentage while also adding a pair of aces.
Both right-side hitter Courtney Crownover and outside hitter Reagan Macha added seven kills for the Lions.
Setter Chloe Alderson passed out 29 assists and recorded eight digs, one behind the nine by libero Jazzlyn Wells.
UAFS returns home next weekend to face St. Mary's and St. Edward's.
