The women's bracket for the Lone Star Conference Basketball Championship is set following the conclusion of the regular season on Saturday evening. UAFS women's basketball team, after last night's win against #1 A&M-Commerce, has advanced to the tournament as a #10 seed and will be traveling to play against #7 St. Edward's in Austin, Texas.
The championship will be held March 3-5-7-8 with first round games taking place on campus and the final eight teams advancing to the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas for the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Championship beginning on March 5.
Texas A&M-Commerce and West Texas A&M claimed divisional championships in 2019-20, and St. Mary's and Tarleton were named divisional co-champions. A&M-C is the tournament's No. 1 seed after finishing atop the 22-game conference standings with a 20-2 record.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster outlets and
Ticketmaster.com, as well as the Comerica Center box office. Single-session tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Fans can save $15 off the regular price for all-session passes and avoid fees by making an on-campus advance purchase at LSC member institutions. The all-session ticket grants access to all seven sessions at a reduced rate of $45. The all-session price increases to $60 for those not purchased through LSC schools by March 4.
All 11 games will be streamed live free of charge through the LSC Digital Network at
www.lonestarconferencenetwork.com. In addition to being available on computers and mobile devices, the network is also available via OTT on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Roku by searching for "LSC Digital Network". For more information about the conference tournament fans can go to the
LSC Women's Basketball Championship Central.
The winner of the tournament will be named the Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball Champions and earn the league's automatic qualification to the 2020 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball South Central Regional held March 13-14-16 at a site to be determined.
