ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - UAFS women's tennis team has recorded an important victory on the road as the Lady Lions defeated Henderson State by the score of 4-3 overall. UAFS started out slow, losing the doubles point to the Reddies but then the Lady Lions stormed back and won four out of six singles to conclude their 4-3 victory.
UAFS No. 1 doubles team led by
Bianca Koen and
Milena Achlamov fell to the Henderson State's Mulan Kamoe and Franny Nyarko by 6-3, followed by the
Petra Csizmadia and
Chloe Ruppanner doubles pair winning their match 6-4.
Shaun Williams and
Joanna Potet lost the decisive match of the doubles by 7-5 in a dramatic fashion.
The Lady Lions completely changed the momentum heading into the singles matches as they won four out of six matches as Potet, Achlamov, Csizmadia and Ruppanner won their matches to give the Lady Lions a road victory.
