UAFS women's basketball is coming off a 2-0 weekend and are on a four-game winning streak as the Lady Lions prepare to host a couple of conference games, including their annual "Pink Out Game". This year the "Pink Out Game" game takes place at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Gayle Kaundart Arena in Stubblefield Center against Angelo State.
UAFS head women's basketball coach
Tari Cummings is excited about this awesome event, "As a part of this community I am so happy that we get to host events such as this one. I would personally like to invite everyone to come out on Saturday, enjoy some good basketball, and help us raise awareness and funds for the battle against breast cancer."
All fans wearing pink will receive a free admission as well as all Arvest and City of Fort Smith employees as a part of their Community Day. Fans are encouraged to donate as all donations benefit Susan G. Komen's "More Than Pink" walk. During the halftime break, there will be opportunities for fans to win free Coke products and Taco Bell gift cards.
Senior Associate Athletic Director,
Katie Beineke added that, "The UAFS athletic department has a strong passion for supporting cancer awareness. We are honored to promote breast cancer awareness at our women's basketball PINK OUT game Saturday. Knowledge is power and supporting awareness for breast cancer is a personal mission I have great pride in. We would love to see you in the stands wearing your pink for the 2pm tip off. Thank you to all who support this cause that is so near and dear to the UAFS Athletic family's heart. See you at the Stub!"
