The UAFS women's tennis team snapped a three-match losing streak on Tuesday afternoon as the Lady Lions swept their home-and-home, nonconference series against the John Brown Golden Eagles with a 9-0 win at the JBU Courts in Siloam Springs, Ark.
UAFS (6-8) won the first encounter with John Brown (0-10) 7-0 on March 11 at Fort Smith Athletic Club.
The Lady Lions eased through doubles play, posting a 3-0 lead.

Koen beat McNeil 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Nobile beat Smith 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, Potet beat Paiz 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, Wong beat Engel 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, Williams beat Mollan 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Ruppanner beat Sandeno 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
The Lady Lions did not qualify for the Heartland Conference Tournament and have only two more regular-season matches remaining. UAFS will play the Harding Bison on Tuesday at 2 p.m. on Searcy, Ark., and the University of the Ozarks Lady Eagles at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at Fort Smith Athletic Club.
