UAFS women's basketball team has lost first of the six consecutive road games as the Lady Lions fell to Drury by the score of 56-100. Lady Lions are now 4-4 on the season and will continue their campaign on the road until January 9.
Offensively, UAFS shot 31.7 percent from the field as a team, while shooting 36.4 percent from beyond the arc and 81.3 percent from the free throw line. The Lady Lions were led in scoring by
Ashanti Eden (17) and
Tamera Gulley (11). As a team, UAFS recorded six assists, led by
Alexsis Brown (3).
Defensively, the Lady Lions allowed a 45.3 percent shooting from the field, 33.3 percent from the three point line and 69.4 percent from the free throw line. UAFS forced 22 turnovers and recorded six steals, led by Brown (2). As a team, the Lady Lions grabbed 36 rebounds, where they were led by Gulley (11).
The UAFS women's basketball are back in action next week as the Lady Lions travel to Oklahoma City to take on Oklahoma Christian at 2 p.m. on December 14 in Eagles Nest. Both
