UAFS Men's basketball team has bounced back in a non-conference match as the Lions defeated Eagles of the Williams Baptist College by the score of 75-62. With this win the Lions improve to a 5-1 regular season record.
Offensively the Lions were led by
Brian Halums who had another explosive performance with 28 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and one assist.
Matthew Wilson and
Matiss Sivins added 11 points each. As a team, the Lions shot 30-59 from the field, 8-22 from the three point line and 7-15 from the free throw line. UAFS also recorded 13 assists.
Defensively, the Lions recorded 43 rebounds as a team and were led by
Chris Rollins (9), Halums (8), and Sivins (5). UAFS held their opponent to a 37.7 percent shooting from the field, and 35.5 percent from beyond the arc.
