After past weekend's tough loss to Texas A&M-Kingsville, UAFS Men's basketball team will be looking to bounce back as the Lions take on Williams Baptist at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Stubblefield Center. This is the first all-time matchup between the two teams.
The Lions are going into this match 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the conference play.
So far, the Lions have been scoring 73.8 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the field. Three UAFS players average double-digits in scoring -
Brian Halums (22.2 ppg), Matthew Willson (21.4 ppg) and
Chris Rollins (10.8 ppg). The Lions average 12.8 assists per game with
Charles Botchway (4.2 apg) leading the team followed by Halums (2.6 ppg) and Wilson (2.2 apg).
Defensively, the Lions allow their opponents 68.2 points per game while shooting 42.1 percent from the field. As a team, UAFS averages 32.8 rebounds per game, led by Halums (7.2), Rollins (5.4) and
Matt Morgan (4.8). The Lions are also recording 2.4 blocks, five steals and are forcing 14.6 turnovers per game.
