UAFS Volleyball team swept another conference reoadtrip as the Lady Lions defeated UT Tyler by the scores of 25-20, 25-27, 31-29, 25-17. The Lady Lions also swept the season series against UT Tyler as they won the first matchup against the Patriots in Fort Smith, Ark.
Senior outside hitter
Anna Demmer led UAFS with another outstanding offensive performance with a .303 hitting percentage, 27 kills with 66 attempts and seven errors.
Rachel Williams added a .224 hitting percentage with 17 kills on 58 attempts and four errors.
Amanda Van Wyk recorded 58 assists and 7 kills. As a team, UAFS hit a .212 clip with 70 kills on 208 attempts and 26 errors.
Defensively, Demmer led the Lady Lions in digs (30) while Van Wyk added 19 while
Lexie Johnston added 9 blocks. The Lady Lions recorded 107 digs while holding UT Tyler to a .153 hitting percentage with 56 kills on 209 attempts and 24 errors.
UAFS Volleyballl will be back in action next week as the Lady Lions host Western New Mexico on Friday at 6 p.m. at Stubblefield Center.
