UAFS Women's basketball team have suffered their first loss of the 2019-20 season as they got defeated by UCO Bronchos by the score of 84-75 in Edmond, Okla. The Lady Lions are now down by 8-3 in the all-time series against UCO.
Offensively, UAFS was led by three players scoring in double digits.
Ashanti Eden led the scorers (12) followed by Mar'Shallia Lollie (11) and
Paige Elston (10). Elston also recorded five assists. As a team, the Lady Lions shot 35.4 percent from the field, 21.1 percent from beyond the arc and 77.3 percent from the free throw line. UAFS also recorded seven assists and 26 turnovers.
Defensively, the Lady Lions caught 33 rebounds, and recorded five steals while forcing ten turnovers from their opponents. UAFS allowed Bronchos 46.4 field goal shooting percentage.
UAFS women's basketball resume their season at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 16 in Tahlequah, Okla. as the Lady Lions take on Northeastern State in a non-conference matchup.
