Hoops for Disaster Relief has delivered two highly competitive and exciting basketball games in which UAFS Lions defeated Ouachita Baptist (79-70) and UCA defeated Oral Roberts (92-84). Both matches were played as a part of the donation drive for the American Red Cross to aid in local disaster relief.
The Lions were led by junior guard,
Matthew Wilson who scored 35 points on 52.6 shooting percentage while also adding 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Wilson shot 50 percent from beyond the arc (12/6). Senior guard,
Brian Halums added 24 points on 76.9 shooting percentage while also adding two assists.
In the second game of the night, Central Arkansas defeated Oral Roberts, led by junior center Hayden Koval who scored 27 points on 9-15 shooting from the field while also adding 13 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Junior guard Rylan Bergersen added 19 points along with 5 rebounds and three steals to power the Central Arkansas offense.
