Senior cross country runner Katy Carter from Magazine, Ark., was one of 67 current or former UAFS student-athletes to be selected to the Heartland Conference 2014-15 Academic All-Conference Honor Roll for their performances in the classroom this past year.

Carter is a nursing major and was named to Commissioner’s Honor Roll for earning a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Over 1000 student-athletes from 11 Heartland Conference member institutions were recognized by the league. The teams include student-athletes from all sports sponsored by the Heartland Conference.

To be eligible for Heartland All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have lettered during the 2014-15 academic year, be in at least the second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better for the Commissioner's Honor Roll or 3.5 or better for the Presidents' Honor Roll.
