University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Athletics has announced that Emily Hilton has been hired as the Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Hilton joins UAFS after graduating with a Master of Athletic Training from the University of Arkansas. In her time at Arkansas, Hilton worked with the football and softball programs, creating rehab plans and utilizing a range of manual therapy techniques.
"I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the wonderful staff here at UAFS," Hilton said. "I couldn't think of a better place to begin my career."
Additionally, Hilton spent last summer working with Purdue University football, conducting concussion baseline testing and working with various modalities including, underwater treadmill therapy, VALD, and infrared light therapy.
Hilton graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Science from Stephen F. Austin State University.
As an undergrad, Hilton assisted in rehab programs with the football team while observing procedures and surgeries for various injuries.
Hilton began her duties in May 2025.
