UA Fort Smith Athletics

Felipe Nogueira joined the Lady Lions coaching staff in June of 2020 after three seasons at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. In his first two seasons as an assistant at his alma mater, the Vikings won the NAIA National Invitational Tournament for the first time in 2018 and finished third in 2019. Nogueira has also previously coached summer camps with Gold Medal Squared all over the country.   

As a student-athlete, Nogueira was a big piece for Grand View’s early success in the NAIA. He was picked as All-Conference Team member in 2015 and 2017, and also excelled in the classroom with three Academic All-Conference honors. In his time, the Vikings finished in third place twice and runner-up twice at the NAIA National Invitational Tournament. He earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2017.

Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nogueira earned his master's degree in Sports Management from Grand View in the spring of 2020 and currently resides in Fort Smith with his wife, Chrissy.
