Northside Highschool standout, Kendra Roberts, begins her second year as an Assistant Women's Basketball coach at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.
Born and raised in Fort Smith, AR, Roberts is the eldest of 5 children in her family. While playing for the Lady Grizzlies, Roberts led her team as a sophomore to a State Championship. Her playing career took a hard hit in her Junior and Senior year as she tore her ACL in both years. These injuries helped her appreciate playing basketball on the college level even more.
After graduating high school in 2009, Roberts went to Connors State College where she was a starter both years and earned numerous accolades. After earning her Associate's Degree, she transferred to Mid-America Nazarene University where she tore her ACL for the third time and redshirted her first year. Two years and more accolades later, Roberts earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management in 2014.
Previously Roberts worked as the head JV coach, and the assistant coach to Varsity team at Blue Valley North High School. During that time she also served as a Para professional. Roberts also volunteered as a coach at Darby Jr. High.
