Adel Morris begins her first season as a student assistant coach after playing two seasons for the Lady Lions basketball team.
During her two seasons as a Lady Lion, the Atlanta, Ga., native helped lead UAFS to an overall 33-19 record and a 20-8 record against Heartland Conference opponents. Morris, who transferred to UAFS from Neosho County Community College, was one of the Lady Lions’ first two seniors.
The former point guard, who also played one season at Florida State College and Neosho Community College, averaged 5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game during her four-year career.
Morris is a 2007 graduate of Tucker High School. She was named the Best Defensive Player and was a four-year letterman. She was All-Conference and was named Player of the Week. She earned the Most Improved Award.
