Ben Anderson

Ben Anderson begins his sixth season as head coach of the men's and women's tennis teams. Anderson was previously interim head coach one season and was a volunteer assistant coach for four seasons.
 
Anderson is a 1977 graduate of Ozark High School, where he was the No. 1-ranked tennis player is Class A. He went on the play four seasons at Arkansas Tech, where he played No. 1 singles. He graduated from Arkansas Tech with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.

After deciding to enter the ministry, Anderson attended seminary at Emory University in Atlanta, where he graduated in 1985 with a master’s degree in divinity. While attending seminary, he became interested in philosophy. He earned a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Arkansas in 1993.

Anderson has been a pastor in the United Methodist Church since 1985. He also has taught philosophy at UA Fort Smith since 1997.

Ben and his wife, Laura Beth Anderson, have two children -- Tyler and Andrew. Anderson also is currently the pastor of Woodlands Church in Fort Smith.
